NEWS RELEASE 10th May 2026

NEW BOILER TO MARK THE START OF LONG-TERM BUILDING PROGRAMME

Reverend Elaine Atack, Vicar of St. Laurence Parish Church announced to the congregations attending services on Sunday 10th May that the Church has been successful in obtaining a grant of just over £ 20,000 as a contribution towards the cost of replacing the life expired boilers which enable the building to be heated.

She went on the say ”This is great news, as the replacement of the life expired boiler ensures we will be able to continue to heat the church and provide a warm welcome to everyone.  It also gives us confidence to take forwards a longer-term plan to ensure that the building is fit for purpose for future generations, and a place that is of even wider benefit to the local community and visitors to Frodsham. We are very grateful to the Marshes Community Benefit Fund for its support”.

Directly on the heels of this news we are also delighted to announce that our Architects have commissioned work starting later this month to develop a feasibility study which will give us the opportunity to fully consider realisable options for works to enhance the building for current and future generations, ensuring that we are able to truly deliver on our Vision of “the Church of Everyday, with something for Everyone”, supported by a welcoming space for our varied congregations and other visitors.

We will be setting out more details of our Vision and plans for the future at an Open Day to be held at the Church on Saturday 6th June 2026 – when all will be welcome to come and view our wonderful Grade 1 listed building.
