St Laurence Church is proud to stand at the heart of Frodsham as both a living church and the custodian of the town's only Grade I listed building. Later this Summer we will be launching an exciting consultation – Vision 2031 - and you can register your interest now if you would like to be included in that consultation – whether as an individual or an interested organisation.
Through Vision 2031, we will explore how our historic building can better serve worshippers, residents, community groups, schools, visitors and future generations, while preserving the beauty and character that make it so special.
· Completing the renewal of the church's heating system
· Improving step-free access throughout the building
· Creating better facilities for catering, storage and toilets
· Providing a brighter, more welcoming entrance
· Introducing flexible seating to support worship, events and performances
· Improving digital connectivity throughout the church
· Safeguarding the future of our historic organ and bells
“Preserving our heritage. Serving our community. Inspiring future generations.”
We want to hear ideas from local people, organisations, visitors and supporters about how St Laurence can continue to be a Church of the Everyday with Something for Everyone. To register your interest please e-mail:

Our latest news release about our Building Programme is on the Home Page - clicking on the button will take you there.
Below are our earlier news releases.
We are pleased to announce that the work to replace the life expired boiler which enables the Parish Church to be heated will commence on Tuesday 9th June 2026.
Although we do not anticipate any significant disruption to access or use of the church visitors should be aware that contractors will be working and there may be some temporary limitation of access to the grounds to enable removal of the old boilers and the installations of the new ones. There may also be some noise from the works within the building during times when the contractor is at work.
The boiler replacement is the first step in our plan for renewal of the heating system and a cornerstone in developing a long term programme for the building which will enable it to support our Vision of it being a place of the Everyday with something for Everyone.

Reverend Elaine Atack, Vicar of St. Laurence Parish Church announced to the congregations attending services on Sunday 10th May that the Church has been successful in obtaining a grant of just over £ 20,000 as a contribution towards the cost of replacing the life expired boilers which enable the building to be heated.
She went on the say ”This is great news, as the replacement of the life expired boiler ensures we will be able to continue to heat the church and provide a warm welcome to everyone. It also gives us confidence to take forwards a longer-term plan to ensure that the building is fit for purpose for future generations, and a place that is of even wider benefit to the local community and visitors to Frodsham. We are very grateful to the Marshes Community Benefit Fund for its support”.
Directly on the heels of this news we are also delighted to announce that our Architects have commissioned work starting later this month to develop a feasibility study which will give us the opportunity to fully consider realisable options for works to enhance the building for current and future generations, ensuring that we are able to truly deliver on our Vision of “the Church of Everyday, with something for Everyone”, supported by a welcoming space for our varied congregations and other visitors.
We will be setting out more details of our Vision and plans for the future at an Open Day to be held at the Church on Saturday 6th June 2026 – when all will be welcome to come and view our wonderful Grade 1 listed building.
